No more policing the police in Nigeria - Man arrested for videoing a policeman in Lagos State.

The Nigeria Police Force are not smiling at all and not happy with the general public who are policing the police. A similar incident has happened before where a man was arrested for videoing a policeman extorting money from a commercial driver, and now it's happening again. Only God knows how many people the police have arrested for policing the police. If Ngozi Braide is not against arresting an innocent person for more than 24 hours but she is against videoing a police officer on duty (oppressing the citizen and extorting money from drivers), then she is as guilty and corrupt as the rest of them. According to Punch,
A Non-Governmental Organisation, Pre-Adult Affairs Organisation, has accused the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, of illegally arresting and detaining a teacher, Abragahou Aminu, for four days for taking a picture of a policeman. The organisation said the detention of Aminu, a Togolese, constituted a breach of his fundamental human rights.

WTF! Nigeria policeman smoking weed while holding an AK 47 machine gun. (Photo)

When next you hear policemen kill innocent people,  harass people unnecessarily, kill innocent people with strayed bullets or take laws into their hands by brutalizing people everywhere, don't blame them, blame it on the weed they smoke. Abi no be so?
How can an addict be given an AK 47 machine gun? It's high time we Nigerians demand the restructuring and reforming of these bodyguard squads called Nigerian Police Force; else we will continue to have this unprofessional attitude until we are ready to ask for change. Any wonder why there are so much extrajudicial killings in Nigeria? These rotten eggs must be purged out of the force before the force becomes our nightmare.

Watch how policemen brutally abuse youngsters for enjoying a quiet evening with friends. (Video)

This is shocking and disgusting. Watch how South African police humiliate and abuse youngsters who were out on a lazy night to play pool and mingle with friends in a tavern. The night out turned into a nightmare when cops stormed into the venue and abuse the youths, kicking them, beating them up, pouring drinks and water on them, hitting them with police baton etc all in the name of law. What is really the matter with African police officers? Why do they like taking laws into their hands?

BUSTED! Delta State ASP caught on tape lying about the alleged assassination attempt on Delta State Speaker (Video)

The Nigeria police in Delta State told barefaced lies to reporters regarding the purported assassination of the Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Victor Ochei. Police public relations officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lucky Uyabeme had earlier told a reporter over the phone that the assassination story was a hoax, blaming politicians for lying and capitalizing on circumstances of that nature.
A few hours after the recording phone conversation, the PPRO went public claiming that the explosion of a cannon by a member of Obomkpa community was an "Assassination attempt" on Mr. Ochei life. The police further denied that he spoke with any reporter regarding the incident.
Here are the two versions of the police PRO statements.
Police and politicians, na who lie pass? Just imagine these people arresting innocent citizens for their own selfish interests. God is watching you all.

Russian artist nailed his testicles to the ground as protect against police brutality. (Graphic video)

A Russian artist nailed his own testicles to the ground in a bizarre protest against his country's police brutality. Artist Peter Pavlensky nailed his testicles on the cobblestones of Red Square, the correspondent of "Fringe." The action is timed to the Day of Police, which is celebrated on November 10. The action began at 13:00 and around 14:30 the artist was taken by ambulance to the First City Hospital, afterwhich he was arrested by the police and taken into custody. In a statement about the artist's action, called "Freeze", it is noted that it can be regarded as a "metaphor of apathy and political indifference and fatalism of the modern Russian society."

Pavlensky known for other high-profile protests. May 3 this year, he went to the building of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg naked and wrapped with barbed wire. Campaign "Carcass" symbolized "man's existence in a repressive legal system, where any movement causes severe reaction of the law, bites into the body of an individual."

More gist after the cut:
22 years old Momodu Richard Ibrahim aka Old General Ibrahim was on his way home about 2 minutes walk to his house, at about 11pm on the 27th of May,2013, when he was shoot by the DPO for walking late at night when there was no form of state of emergency in Edo State.

While we stand and look, it could be anyone tomorrow; so it's time to stand up and fight against injustice.
Meanwhile, Section 33(1) of the 1999 constitution as amended states that "Every person has a right to life and that no one shall be deprived intentionally of his life, save in execution of a court in respect of a  criminal offense of which he has been found guilty in Nigeria.
Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Right guarantees the right to life, liberty and personal security and Section 4 of the police act submitted that the police is to protect life and property.

All efforts to hear from the DPO proved abortive. After consulting with the family of the deceased, the youths and students of Uniben have decided to come out to protest on Monday 3rd of June, 2013, with black Tshirts against the mindless and barbaric killing of Ibrahim and have the DPO arrested and prosecuted with immediate effect.

No man is free when others are infringed of their rights and only a fool will say "I will not fight because am not the person that is oppressed." It's Ibrahim today and could be anyone tomorrow.

Police DPO Unjustly Killed A Uniben Student In Benin City & Buried His Body Without Informing His Family.

When will police brutality end in Nigeria?
This 22 years old young man was gunned down in Benin city by the DPO of Ogida Barack Police Station.

Ibrahim, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on March 30th, was a part-time student of SLT in University of Benin (Uniben) and was doing his IT in a Pharmaceutical company in Benin City.

Ibrahim was the only son of his parents who live at No.1 Egbeobauwaye street off Siluko road, behind Edo Omo park in Benin City, Edo State.

The DPO, who is a woman, first said that the deceased was an armed robber and that she saw him with a gun which she couldn't produce as evidence and when she saw that the family wants proof, she said it was a result of a mistaken identity.

After shooting the innocent young man, the DPO buried the dead body of the young man without informing his family.
Residents in the area complain about the DPO's brutality and attitude, stating that she is always on the side of the highest bidder.
