Pope Francis suspends German luxury bishop amid scandal of lavish spending.

Bishop Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst has come under fire for spending tens of millions of euros building a lavish official residence. He has been ordered to leave his diocese amid scandal over his alleged lavish spending by Pope Francis.

His new private residence will cost €31m and include a €15,000 bathtub, furnishings worth €380,000 and a garden that came with a €783,000 bill. But the "bling bishop" of Limburg is unlikely ever to enjoy the benefits of his luxurious new home, after he was temporarily suspended from his post by the pope yesterday.

In a press statement, the Vatican said it had been confronted with a situation in which 53 years old Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst "could not follow his duty as bishop" and had decided to allow him "some time outside the diocese". A final verdict on the bishop's future is expected after the completion of an internal investigation into the Limburg building project. Tebartz-van Elst has come under increasing criticism since the estimated cost of his new residence described by some newspapers as "palatial" rose to €31m (£26m) earlier this month.

He is also facing legal action for allegedly lying under oath about a first-class flight to India, in a row with the news magazine Der Spiegel.

Hilarious Church Banner : How To Identify A Witch - Operation Point And Kill.

Nigerian pastors are not smiling at all. Wherever you go in Nigeria, there is always an hilarious church banner around the corner. Churches are now in competition with one another because there are more churches now in Nigeria than there are hair beauty saloons.

It makes me think if it's the handwork of native-doctors-turned-pastors because church biz nowadays booms more than being a native doctor or it is the handwork of some smart Nigerians who cannot get jobs, so they verge into Church biz because Nigerians are fond of searching for miracles/solutions to problems that does not exist.

You see some pastors that looks hungered and very unkept praying for people to be prosperous. I think Nigerians should start telling such pastors to lay hands on themselves before laying hands on others. :-)

Hilarious Church Banner Of The Day - I Smell America

Nigeria is a country where everybody is taking undue advantage of the sufferings of the people for their own selfish interest, all in the name of God.

This is a church banner for a four days travel programme theme 'I Smell America' lol

I'm sure the people that went for the programme will get automatic visa-free to America without even applying for it. lol

Nigerians will run to places like this without asking themselves if the organizers themselves forbid America.....if them get the power to smell America, na wetin them still dey do for naija?

Christiandom: New ways of paying church offering with credit cards.

This is the image of modern day christianity. Christianity is now all about money; the more the bank evolves on it's operation of people going cashless, the more the church makes out new ways of collecting their share from the cashless members.
Christianity has gone so wrong that it makes me think. The modern day pastors has given christianity a new definition and it's all about more money and less morals.
