Google Image
This is an accident that could have been prevented.

According to Vanguard, three brothers were crushed to death today in Ilorin when a truck carrying cement and heading towards Oke-Oyi had a head-on collision with their motorcycle. The victims were heading for Ilorin and were members of a family in Oke-Oyi, the headquarter of Ilorin East Local Government Area. They died at the spot of the incident.

An eyewitness said the brothers were trying to overtake the vehicle in front of them when the oncoming truck crashed into them.

It was alleged that a group of angry youths in the area beat up the occupants of the truck, set the vehicle ablaze and carted away with some bags of cement before the arrival of the police.

The police public relations officer of Kwara command, DSP Olufemi Fabode, confirmed the incident and said some youths had been arrested with about 100 bags of cement. He condemned that action of the youths and urged residents of the state to refrain from jungle justice and allow vehicle inspection officers do their jobs.

Cassava Seller Caught With Guns Inside Her Bags + Nigeria Army Gave Her The Beating Of Her Life (Graphic Video)

This woman was allegedly caught with guns belonging to Boko Haram Sect inside her cassava bags and she was brutally beaten so she would confess who gave the guns to her and whom they were meant for; but she kept saying she knew nothing about it.

While watching the video, some question came to my mind, "Who trained Nigerian force to be this brutal? Is this how to investigate issues? Is there no possibility that she might be innocent? Why can't Nigerian Force carry out an investigation without violence?"

Edo State Government Halts Judicial Panel On Slain 400L Uniben Student, Ibrahim Momodu.

Edo State government has halt the action on the setting up of a panel of inquiry into the killing of Ibrahim Momodu who was murdered by Police DPO of Ogiba Police station, Carol Afegbai.

In a statement by the chief press secretary to the government said the government made the decision because a case file on the late Momodu's murder has been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions by the police for advice and further action.

It said it will therefore amount to a duplication of efforts by the government to set up another panel of inquiry since the Director of Public Prosecutions is a government functionary in the state ministry of justice.

An Extrajudicial Killing Of An Alleged Armed Robber By DPO Carol Afegbai In Benin City (Video:GRAPHIC IMAGE)

This young man was shot in Benin city on 25th May, two days before the brutal murder of Ibrahim Momodu by DPO of Ogida police station in an alleged armed robbery attack. The 28-years-old Oghogho Esihigie was shot in an alleged armed robbery attack at the front of No.179 Siluko Road, Benin City, Edo State. He was shot in broad daylight by police DPO Carol Afegbai and was left to bleed to death.

The DPO of Ogida Police Station, Carol Afegbai, the same DPO who murdered Ibrahim Momodu was at a bar in the the resident drinking beer when she saw the boy passing on a boarding bike and shot him; after which she went to her patrol car and took the same type of gun she planted on Ibrahim Momodu and planted it on the victim, then left the young man to bleed to death.

This extrajudicial killing is now common in Nigeria and it is very heartbreaking to know that among the crowd, nobody was willing to help a dying man even if he was an armed robber. Human value now means nothing in Nigeria because people find pleasure in killing and seeing humans bleed to death. Everyone has become desensitized to the value of human life.

Meanwhile this amateur video shows that the police are poorly trained and CSP Carol Afegbai is into extrajudicial killing. The callousness of those charged with upholding the law and the glee of the onlookers seeing the distress of a dying man is really alarming. The people are now devoid of human emotions forgetting that it could be anyone and even the innocent.
