"We steal because you never stoned US for It" - Governor Rotimi Amaechi quoted. (Video)

At a tribute event held in Lagos for late Nelson Mandela, Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, said Nigerians have not shown enough aggression or resistance against stealing, crime and corruption by political leaders. He said that political office holders steal public fund because citizens have not confronted or stoned them (including himself) for the act.
In his word, he said "If you see a thief and you allow him to thief, what do you do?...You have stoned nobody that's why we are stealing." He continued by saying "If you don't take your destiny into your hands, we will go and other leaders will come and they will continue to steal".

Watch the video of Gov. Adams apologising to 'go and die' widow in government house.

The video of governor Adams Oshiomhole apologizing to Mrs Joy Ifije, the 'go and die' widow whom he insulted in Benin City. To err is human but to forgive is devine. I'm sure this will serve as warning to the people of the state who can't or don't want to abide by the law, help the governor to help you. Beautifying the state is not a one-man-business, its for everyone to do and for everyone to enjoy. Though the governor overreacted at the beginning but the man is trying but the people are not helping matters.
Good job Mr Gov.

Time-lapse transformation of homeless vet makeover to see the potentials in people we ignore everyday. (Video + pix)

If there is one thing that'll make you cry in a feel-good kind of way today, it's this.
A 25-years-old American local video producer, Rob Bliss, has set out to prove that potential exists even in the people we ignore in footage that has quickly spread across the internet. The clip features a homeless U.S. Army war veteran, Jim Wolf, who struggled with poverty and alcoholism for years. While these internal struggle can take a long time to cast off and reverse, it took only a few hours in a saloon chair to change wolf, an homeless man, into an incredible handsome man with potentials.

Rob Bliss, the video producer, said he did the transformation because he was trying to get himself into doing things for a better purpose. "If I can only get people to look at any homeless person on the street and see the mirror image of them - the image of someone who would look socially acceptable - realise that potential, that 'what if,' and root for their success," Bliss said.
Since his makeover, Wolf will soon move into his own apartment and has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

While this transformation was for one man and the video encourages people to donate to a specific, local ministry, it also contains messages that reach much further.

One is that "an outward transformation is important, but an inward one is more important and the other is that hopefully, it will help to change stereotypes to give people a perspective that "everyone is worthy of being treated with dignity and respect."

A Must Watch Video For Dads & Moms - A New Perspective On Parenting.

This must watch emotional video is for those awesome parents who think they are not living up to expectations.
There's a lot of pressure being a parent. We want to raise our children the right way, but there is no definitive handbook for every difficult situation and we're bound to make mistakes along the way. For most of us, we're our own biggest critic. But what do the people who matter most think? How do our children see us? For Mother's Day this year, we did an experiment asking moms to describe themselves, and then compared that with what their own kids said about them. It's amazing what you can see when you look from a different perspective. - A New Perspective For Moms

schoolboy with a life-long stammer reduced his classmates to tears by copying techniques used in 'The King's Speech' for his speech. (Video)

Musharaf Asghar, 16, (middle picture) overcame his difficulty to deliver an emotional speech to his class at Thornhill Community Academy on his last day of school. He was able to deliver his touching lines, which reduced his schoolmates to tears, by listening to music through earphones as he spoke. The technique was made famous by Colin Firth's portrayal of King George VI in Oscar-winning film 'The King's Speech'. Musharaf's effort, broadcast last night on Channel 4 in the last episode of Educating Yorkshire, prompted an outpouring of emotion across social media as people rallied behind him.

Musharaf still has a stammer, but estimates his speech has improved by 80% following his teacher's tip earlier this year. The teenager, who had previously been the target of bullies, said: "It felt great to be able to speak out. People knew exactly what I was saying. Before, some people didn't understand who I really was." Musharaf has now discarded the headphones and his speech is improving all the time. Having achieved five C-grade GCSEs, he was able to start an applied science course at Huddersfield New College in September. The son of a taxi driver hopes to study science at university and, thanks to Mr Burton, has ambitions to be a teacher.

Meet the 85,75 & 91 years old women who still model & wear mini-skirts (Photos & Video)

These aged pensioners refused to let age get in the way of looking good and dressing stylishly. You can never be too old to do what makes you happy.
According to DailyMails,
The fashion world might be obsessed with youth but it seems no one has told 75-year-old Jean Woods, who has a trendy Hoxton haircut and loves DMs.

Or Daphne Selfe, who, at 85, is the world's oldest model - and one of the most stylish, with a wardrobe cool enough to leave the likes of Cara Delevingne looking on in envy.
Or Gillian Lynne, who says she will wear mini-skirts at 87 if she wants, adding that her legs are her 'best asset'.

And they are not alone, as new Channel 4 documentary, Fabulous Fashionistas, reveals. The film follows six spectacularly well-dressed pensioners - none of whom is letting age get in the way of looking stylish.
