    1. pathetic to say the least, but we really cannot heap all of the blame on government,we as Nigerians share part of the blame, a good number of these girls made a conscious choice to go to Italy, I was in Turin last year, the dehumanization I saw was appalling, poverty isn't responsible for that

    2. I BLAME NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT FOR EVERYTHING! I VISITED NIGERIA LAST YEAR AFTER SPENDING YEARS IN EUROPE HOPING THAT THERE WILL BE A DEVELOPEMENT IN ONE OR TWO AREAS, BUT I FELT BAD TO SEE THAT THE CONDITION IN MY STATE IS GETTING WORSE, MR MAN! IF YOU HAVE REALLY STAYED IN EUROPE BEFORE AND YOU HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING BEFORE GOING BACK TO THAT COUNTRY CALLED NIGERIA, I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL DO ANYTHING TO GO BACK TO THIS SAME EUROPE BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW WORSE EUROPE MAYBE IT WILL STILL BE BETTER THAN THE BEST NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT COULD PRODUCE.

Nigeria Embassy in Italy is one of the worst if not the worst. They don't care about their own people. All they do is extort money from the people. What did the embassy do after the killing on her citizen in December 2012, the answer is nothing. They are not doing enough to help these young girls/woman in Italy. And all the various "Nigerian community" associations here are just party and drink associations.
The citizens of some African countries are very respected in Italy because of the way their ambassadors presented them to the Italian community.
I am not blaming the Nigeria Embassy for this young woman's death but the embassy need to wake up to her responsibilities and tell the Italian government enough is enough and not sit in your office waiting for the next person coming to apply for passport, visa or nulla osta.
I hope this help other young girls/woman leave the streets and do something more meaningful with their lives. Some don't want to work in factory because the salary won't be enough to buy branded clothes for their lazy pot-belly boyfriends and their money-hungry family members. Live your life for God and not for anyone else. Rest In Peace

  14. Those that blame the government are so ignorant that they don't even know the layman's definition of democracy which is the government of the people by the people for the people, a participatory system of government. So each Nigerian is part of the system, if you vote a government in and they are not performing then vote them out in the next election or even come out in the street to force them out. If everyone remains silent in the face of a corrupt government them it implies that majority of Nigerians are corrupt. So if the minority of us is corrupt then its foolhardy to blame the government because the government is us and we are the government. Then to the issue at hand it is absolutely an individual choice to prostitute or not safe for a few cases of forced prostitution. If one prostitutes in a country where prostitution is a crime she or he bears the full implications of breaking the law, so it goes for any other crime. An adult can not shift the blame of making a choice to another, be it government organisation or an individual. In countries like Italy and most other developed countries, prostitution is a legal profession and those who choose this profession have no one to blame, like every other profession, it has its hazards ands and risks. Many are also successful in it and that explains why the industry replanishes. My conclusion is that prostitution is evil, sinful and too hazardous and should not be choosen by any. May the soul of our fallen sister rest in peace. Amen.
